Alle waren sich einer Meinung: Das Hotel dieser Nacht war bisher das Beste. Leckeres Abendessen, leckeres Frühstück, super WiFi und der Eindruck, einfach super. Geparkt wurde direkt vor der (Hinter-)Tür, daher war es super easy das Gepäck wieder in den Autos und auf dem Motorrad zu verstauen. Abfahrt war pünktlich.
Der erste Teil der Strecke Richtung Sofia war nicht mal so aufregend wie ich befürchtet hatte, dafür war sie umso schöner! Viel Grün um uns herum und tolle Berge, sowohl nah als auch in der Ferne. War schon beeindruckend.
Zu Mittag waren wir wieder in einem bekannten Namen: McDonald’s. Dahinter lag eine Art Outlet Shopping Mall, mit Lidl, dm, Jysk, Jumbo Baby Toys, Adidas und mehr… Ab hier war es wieder nur Autobahn, diesmal mit Fernziel Slivengrad und Istanbul.
Es gab mal wieder eine kleine Problematik mit den Navis, daher haben wir eine kleine Reise durch ein hübsches Dorf gemacht, das eine unbeschriftete aber funktionierende und für den Navi ersichtliche Auffahrt wieder auf die Autobahn hatte. Muss man wohl mal erlebt haben. xD
Morgens war es noch angenehm zu fahren, gegen Mittag wurde es HEIß!!! Der Subaru zeigte 38 Grad an, der Dokker sogar 41! Der Fahrtwind hat nicht gekühlt, aber es half auch gegen ein wirkliches Überhitzen. Ich habe mir die Ärmel nass gemacht, das hat dann für 10 Minuten schön kalte Handgelenke beschert. Besser als nichts. Und mehr als um mich, habe ich mir um die Brixton Sorgen gemacht. Wenn die Umgebung an die 40 Grad kommt, und der Bodenbelag heíßer ist als das, und die Maschine so ununterbrochen Arbeiten muss… die macht schon echt viel mit, die Brixton.
Sie läuft rund, gleichmäßig, hört sich an wie immer… ich glaube die hält diese Reise echt durch! Wahnsinn!
Heute Abend haben wir wieder im Hotel gegessen. Sehr lecker. Frühstück gibt es auch, und das ist so nötig. Es wird schon anstrengend und dann auch noch loszumüssen um etwas Essbares aufzutreiben, da hätte ich keine Zeit mehr für den Blog. Hotel für morgen ist auch gebucht, diesmal in der Nähe des Istanbuler Flughafens. Mogen früh kommt der Grenzübergang in die Türkei! Hoffentlich wird das so problemlos wie die Bisherigen! 😀

We all agreed on one thing: The hotel on this night was the best so far! Delicious supper and breakfast, fast WiFi and the ambiente was just amazing. The vehicles were parked directly in front of the back door, so the bike and the cars were easily and fast packed and ready and we could start on time in the morning.
The first part of the journey (towards Sophia) had a tough look on the map, but was easy to go and showed us a lot of the beautiful landscape Bulgaria has to offer! Lush green forests and amazing mountains and rock formations near and far. Very impressive.
We got hungry and found a well known place around noon: MacDonalds. It was part of a big shopping mall with Lidl, dm, Jysk, Jumbo Baby Toys, Adidas and more… We had left the countryside and were on the big motorway again, aiming for Slivengrad and Istanbul.
We had some problems with our navigation (again) and took a lovely detour through a very small pretty village wich had its own entry back on the motorway, which was perhaps still under construction, as there were no road markings or signs at all and we entered the motorway without extra lane. But our navigation was completely fine with that. It was definitely a worthy detour 😉
In the morning the temperatures were comfortable, but it got so HOT at noon. The Subaru showed up to 38 degrees and the dokker even 41! The wind couldn’t cool anymore (though it might saved me from overheating) I soaked my sleeves in cold water and had wonderful cool wrists … for about 10 minutes. Better than nothing. But next to myself i worried even more about my poor brixton. 40 degrees outside, on the concrete of the street even more and the motor working without rest … A lot to bear, poor little Brixton.
But: She is running smoothly, sounds like always, I’m starting to believe that she can really do it! Incredible!
This evening we ate at the hotel, again. Delicious, the breakfast as well! And we really need breakfast at the hotel. There is so much to do, next to travel, that if we would start hunting food somewhere in the wild, there would be no time left for writing this blog. Our next Hotel is booked, near the airport Istanbul. And tomorrow in the morning we are crossing the turkish border, hopefully that will go as easily as all the others! 😀
